This is probably the most helpful little translation book ever. It was incredibly useful, my girlfriend use it throughout the trip and she was able to get around, if pronunciations were difficult she would just point at the pictures and people would understand as well as clearly love it and find it cute. We also lent it to a friend on his trip and he agreed it was the best thing and made the trip so much easier. Would love if it came in other languages, but its the perfect companion for a trip to Japan.
More than helpful on a recent trip to Japan. Was able to see phrases and communicate better then without it.Would recommend this book for a basic understanding of the language.
LOVE this little book! Has phrases and words definitely applicable and helpful to travelling to Japan! Love he space in the back to write notes or reaponses as needed!
Not very good at speaking Japanese, so it is a good book to have when traveling.
I bought this for me for an upcoming trip to Japan....but my son stole it. He has two years Japanese and he has stolen the book to use in the trip.
I bought this book for a trip to Japan 2 years ago, there is nothing quite like it. There were a few times that being able to point to a picture when I felt like an idiot came in handy!!! Most of all I am a visual learner - this book helped me learn many Japanese phrases and words quickly. It was really handy when we were in restaurants, I would bookmark the pages that told me how to order alcohol and it made my trip delightful :) The book is clearly sectioned, not your normal "travel dictionary". I can't wait to go back to Japan and use this little book again :)
