A fun light read, this wasn’t the book I was expecting after reading the set-up. It was better. The adventure that they had together was interesting and laced with humor. They’re both keeping secrets, and although Jordan knows Abby’s secrets, she never lets on. Instead, they enjoy a magical few days together despite knowing better. They both have qualms, especially Jordan whose paper has been purchased by a tabloid publisher. Jordan knows what she needs to do but she has scruples. I was riveted because I had to discover what her choice would be. Abbie does a fair amount of soul-searching as well. All in all, another winner from Ms. MacLeod.
...and also, who doesn't love a story where the heroine gets the princess by being honest?This is a feel-good story that's enjoyable from start to finish. ALL of the "Americans Abroad" books have been phenomenal, and this one is no exception.
Well written and loved the walk about in London, immersing in the history. Romance between the two ladies was a little quick but over time it blossomed into something more. Like a pop and long sizzle.Like the series and hope there’s more.
i enjoyed the light hearted story. Alot of laugh out loud moments and many thoughts by me -- what are they going to do next ? Well I just have to say another wonderful story by Miranda.I Reccommend it.
"London Holiday" is a charming romance with likable characters, a fun setting, and a couple of interesting predicaments. The drama in the book involves the characters finding themselves drawn to each other in a situation that can't possibly lead to a long-term relationship, and yet we know there has to be an HEA in there somewhere.It's the fifth book in Miranda MacLeod's "Americans Abroad" series, a collection of unrelated stories that all have in common at least one American character in a European setting. (In this case both Abby and Jordan are American.) For me the European setting adds a lot of interest, and the author seems very knowledgeable about the places where her stories takes place. I've been to the Cabinet War Room where one scene in this book takes place, and I really enjoyed revisiting it through Abby's eyes. But always the focus is on the characters, with the location just an extra bonus throughout.I feel like every review should include at least one complaint, and my extremely minor complaint would be this: I would have loved to see a prologue in which we got to see a snippet of Abby's life in California before the rigid life of royalty was thrust upon her. It would have made for an interesting contrast."London Holiday" is a slightly simpler story than some of the others in the series -- I still think "Letters to Cupid" is the one to beat in this series -- but "London Holiday" kept me engaged throughout. I tend to judge a book by how many times I'm tempted throughout the day to read "just a page or two", and "London Holiday" did that.I've read all of the books in MacLeod's "Americans Abroad" series, and I think she's found a winning formula that really works for her. I can recommend everything in the series. I'm sure there will be more.The book is thoroughly edited. I can't honestly remember if I spotted any typos at all. I really appreciate such spot-on editing.

Being locked out of the castle isn’t so bad when a sexy reporter comes to your rescue. Fun and adventure are high on the weekend agenda. A magical relationship starts to unfold. Then the truth must be told. But the magic continues.I enjoyed the characters in this book. They were very down-to-earth and relatable. Miranda Macleod’s writing is second to none. She will never let the reader down.I can’t wait for her next book.
This is a wonderful story inspired by the classic romance movie "Roman Holiday". The leading ladies are well written and the chemistry between them jumps off the page. The addition of a touch of social commentary about the state of modern media makes the story all the better.
What a fun little book! Need a beach read or a nod to fairy tales with a twist? This is it. Though it was a little predictable, I still couldn't go to sleep until 3:00 in the morning as I wanted to see what would happen.In our crazy cyber-gossipy world, a princess and a journalist fall in love, quite by accident. Fun and adventure happen, lots of London is explored.Beyond these words, I am afraid I will ruin your discovery of this gem if I tell you more. This book was just a lightweight read to fill the moments between heavier books. I probably won't read it again but I am now a fan of this author and will read more by her. Enjoy!
