This book is about the protagonists friend. I thought it odd to not follow the character of the first two books but enjoyed this one as well.Well researched. Well written. Engaging. You never know what will happen next. .
My 12 year old stepdaughter had read thsi entire series and said it was the best book(s) she has ever read. She strongly recommends ALL of them!
The Breadwinner series was what i was looking for - Needed to know some of this history - I realized that the world didn't all live in brick houses or glass houses or white houses. But didn't hear any of this in High school - that many years ago. Most 87 - guess you can guess why. Even in college we didn't touch on these subjects. But I didn't major in history! Just Psych, education and Special Ed. Read all four you will like them
Just what I wanted and arrived quickly.
Good story
Loved the whole series
You must read this series of a girl and family in Afghanistan. it is so realistic. I used it in my 5th grade reading classed. the kids really appreciated what they have after reading these books.
This, and all the other in the series, are a five. It allows the reader to truly understand what those in the Middle East have gone through.
