Interesting book
I'm a big of skins and his work. I came by this book because I was browsing his blog 'single man paradise', I am planning to go thailand this year and I feel like this book is the most accurate book on the market regarding thailand sex industry. I find that other book has a pretty negative view on Thailand sex industry but this book has a lot of bright insights, the author has a very good knowledge on this subject.
One of the better guy's guides to Thailand, written from someone who moved there and knows the scene well. Emphasis is on the single guy. After some preliminary stuff, the book is broken down into the three main places in TH that the author loves and knows best - Bangkok, Ko Samui and Chiang Mai. He covers all three very well. I gave it four stars because I'm still looking / waiting for the ultimate guy's guide to Thailand that covers more than three places in just as much detail, but for what it does cover, this book delivers and I was pleased with my purchase.
Skins is an original thinker with an engaging writing style, with the single male in mind for this interesting Thailand travel guide.Hope there is more to come...especially an idiots guide to Vietnam.RegardsWayne Freeman
