Driving our rental car around Amman, Jordan and down the King's Highway to Petra, onward to Aqaba and then back via the Desert Highway to our downtown Amman hotel and finally to the Amman airport would not have been possible without this map. Although our rental car company (Omaish, via AutoEurope) amazingly provided a similar map, this is not the norm. The detailed map of downtown Amman was particularly helpful and easy to follow. Yes, there are signs in English to major tourist sites, but the system of "circles" and U-turns will stump you at least a few times. You will need a map to find your way out of the morass(es)--this one was great. It shows the tiny towns that allow you to determine which direction you are headed when you are uncertain if you have taken the right road.
We need a map because we are planning a trip to Jordan and will drive from place to place. This map has the major roads, but is printed on paper that tore as I first unfolded it, and we haven't even left home. Also, the place names are typed in such small font that I may need a magnifying glass, not just my regular reading glasses. Still, will it do the job? I think so. Will it survive the trip? Maybe not all in one piece.
seems like it has the things maps have and I think I will be able to get around in Jordan when I go next month.
