Excellent stories--some already heard but forgotten; others (the majority) were new for me. I liked the book so much that I bought another copy to give as a gift to the Poor Clare nuns on their feast day. I love both to tell stories and hear them so I would highly recommend this book for preachers, teachers, and all who have ears to hear and mouths to communicate this magnificent collection of stories.
I have not read the whole book but I love what I have read. I bought it because my priest read one of the stories, The Woman at the Well, to us and I wanted more like it. Writings like this clarify events for me regarding my faith. I have read various other novel-form stories of the biblical events and enjoy them immensely. (Tim LeHey, Francine Rivers, etc). This is how I enjoy studying the Bible and Bible history.
Wonderful reading for everyone. Fr. Bausch was had a wonderful way with words and great with teens as well as adults.
Great resource for ideas.
This is an interesting book that might be of some use for incorporating some of its stories into a homily or sermon. It is just "OK" for me. I have found other books more useful.

William Bausch has put together a wonderful collection of inspiring and moving stories. The section where he weaves these storied into his homolies is fantastic. I'd love to have a recording of him delivering these himself.
